COMMISSIONS

Firstly, thank you so much for showing interest in commissioning a bespoke, original piece of my artwork.

I use professional quality materials which are colour-fast, giving you years of enjoyment. You will receive your commission mounted with a back board and a protective sleeve.  

I hope that firstly, you have browsed my most recent images, here on my website or on my Instagram page, @catherineshortart. This will inform you of my unique style. For pet portraiture I work in photorealism, therefore I will require quality photos to work from.

CONTRACT

To commission a portrait, as per the industry standard, I will require from you a non-refundable booking fee of £25. This will then add your name to my commission’s calendar. This fee will contribute to your final feel.

50% of the full price (non-refundable) will be due just before I start your commission. I will at this point be able to inform you of when you can reasonably expect completion of your commission and I will send you updates of your portrait during the creative process. The final balance plus P&P will be paid on completion, prior to postage.

If at any time during the creative process you decide to pull the commission, I will be able to sell the piece of work and will keep the copyright.

I may make cards and prints from your commission.

I will likely share the commission on my social media accounts.

By paying the booking fee, you agree to the terms and conditions above.

I will donate 10% of all profits from pet portraits to The Dog’s Trust.
